The impact could be seen in the target blocks of Pratappur, Mainpath, Lakhanpur, Udaipur, Ramchanderpur & in Balrampur of Chhattisgarh. Within the period of three years, 200 villages of tribes (Korakus, Korwas, Majhi, Gond, Kanwars, Oraons, Pandos) have increased their capacities for livelihood through cash cropping. Their way of adaptation the SRI methods, Income generation activities, Bank Linkage, eagerness for government schemes, self interest for trainings, group works, following the norms of women federation and legal cell which empowered the villagers to be the ward panch and Panchayat leaders.
The food grain production and saving has stopped the migration. Children were motivated for schools, parents taught to work in the groups, land and houses were reformed. Bonded works stopped, fire wood sale ended, children reached at the level of high school and college, tribal dance and their nature worship protected, use of water for irrigation and local manure preparation increased.
The monthly meetings and trainings of the people and staff are the base for ongoing formation with fewer expenses. Project coordinators easily implement the programmes because they have 5 to 10 years of experience in the organization. AASHA had effectively planned and implemented the activities with the 58 active field workers.AASHA had the relationship with the NGOs and with concerning departments to link the village community. Such as KVK and horticulture departments are often visited. According to the programme and project the frequency of visits differs in the government offices.
The organization depends on the mercy of the donors for the projects. Thanks to the funding agencies that had supported the downtrodden community about 10 to 27 years. Late approval and other reasons like geographical situation of the target area, social events of the people, political events as election, changes of the programme support officers of the state, human -animal conflicts including the sickness causes to implement the programme late.
