Adivasi Empowerment by livelihood promotion

Our primary concern is to empower women and men to increase the food commodity from the traditional seed cum tested and verified seed. Organic manure and SRI method is emphasized. They have to become model farmers by maximum use of their lands. Their improved farming system has begun to free from malnutrition and from slavery. 25 groups have started saving grains and seeds. The other groups are saving money and inter loaning the needy members on a lower rate of interest The livelihood depended on the minor forest produce, which is not possible any longer due to deforestation and depleting resources. Poor farmers are approaching to the KVK to get seed and for soil test. Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and KVK departments of three districts are supporting the farmers.
